AMENDMENT TO DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE
NO. 230/MPP/KEP/7/1997
ON
COMMODITIES WHICH IMPORT PROCEDURE IS REGULATED
AS ALREADY AMENDED SEVERAL TIMES AND LATEST
BY DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE
NO. 478/MPP/KEP/7/2003

THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,

Considering:

• a. that, in the framework of control over the supply of import alcoholic drinks and in observance of healthy and conducive business competition, it is necessary to appoint additional registered importers;
• b. that, for that purpose, it is necessary to issue Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade;

In view of:

Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 230/MPP/Kep/7/1997 on Commodities Which Import Procedure Is regulated as al ready amended several times and latest by Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 478/MPP/Kep/7/2003;

DECIDES:

To stipulate:

DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE ON AMENDMENT TO DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF MINISTRY AND TRADE NO. 230/MPP/Kep/7/1997 ON COMMODITIES WHICH IMPORT PROCEDURE IS REGULATED AS ALREADY AMENDED SEVERAL TIMES AND LATEST BY DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE NO. 478/MPP/Kep/7/2003.

Article I

To amend the provisions of Article 2 paragraph (1) of Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 230/MPP/Kep/7/1997 on Commodities Which Import Procedure Is Regulated as already amended several times and latest by Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 478/MPP/Kep/7/2003, as follows:

From the previous:

"Article 2

(1) The company appointed as Registered Importer to import food and drinks as described in Appendix I to this Decree is PT (Persero) Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia."

To become:

"Article 2

(1) The companies appointed as Registered Importers to import food and drinks as described in Appendix I to this Decree are:

a. PT (Persero) Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia;

b. PT (Persero) Sarinah."

Article II

1. Letter of assignment of import and distribution of alcoholic drinks given to PT (Persero) Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia by the Minister of Industry and Trade in the framework of enforcement of the provisions of Article 2 paragraph (2) of Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 230/MPP/Kep/7/1997 is declared remain valid until expiration of the term of the assignment.

2. This Decree starts to be effective from July 1, 2004.

For public cognizance, this Decree shall be published by placing it in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
